Becoming an Apprentice – Traits you’ll need to succeed:
As an M&J apprentice, you’ll be working with leading edge technology in the groundworks and civil engineering space, developing both your practical and theoretical knowledge and skills.
Course Overview
Our programme is bespoke to M&J and is designed so that you get first-hand experience of what it is like to work on one of our sites.
The duration of the programme is around 14 months of on-the-job learning, including:

Work alongside our talented team and learn the M&J Way, prioritising quality and customer experience
Access to our Training Hub
Build your theoretical knowledge in our state-of-the-art training hub and set the foundations for a successful career
Knowledge into Practice
The NHBC Training Hub will be the home of your practical learning, preparing you to excel on site

Our 4-week taster programme is the perfect opportunity to gain an insight into the roles available at M&J, what life looks like as one of our employees and navigate your options in a welcoming, supportive environment.
It is designed to test a number of key areas such as time-keeping, ability to learn resilience and some key behaviours. You will also have the opportunity to do some practical work, so you can see whether the role is right for you. At the end of the 4 weeks, you will know whether you have made it onto our programme.
